We currently allow donors to submit a pledge with a first-time payment through BBIS donation forms that use parts that use the Blackbaud Secure Payment Page. Blackbaud announced that parts using Payment 1.0, Direct to Pay, and Blackbaud Secure Payment Page must transition to Blackbaud Checkout or a Payment 2.0 page part for payment processing, to meet industry compliance requirements, including PCI 4.01.
Initially, we believed we wouldn't be impacted by this change, but it appears we may have customized code that hard codes the payment page to use these methods that are being decommissioned.
However, Blackbaud Checkout does not support pledges with a first-time payment. We have considered using a recurring gift, but this approach does not take advantage of all the pledge functionality that Blackbaud offers, which we rely on heavily.
My request is for Blackbaud Checkout to support pledges with a first-time pledge payment natively without us having to write any customized code.
